Current Job: Ventures Scout and Business Development Coordinator, Arup
Advice: Utilize your network! LBSA is a great organization with Alumni members who still support the organization to this day. Reach out to them for a coffee chat or to ask questions if you are interested in their career. Handshake also is great as it specifically is for students, unlike LinkedIn Jobs, so there is a smaller pool of applications, and the recruiters are actively searching for students like yourselves. I also recommend joining other clubs/organizations in class that align with what you may be passionate about, regardless of if they are professionally focused or not. These organizations make communities you can reach out to later if the opportunity arises. I would not have landed my new Venture role if I had not joined an energy consulting club on campus with a friend, now a Venture Capitalist, who then helped prep me for my interviews.
