Advice: Utilize all of your resources!!!! If you are interested in a company, see if there are any alumni who work there or has. Don't be afraid to cold call one of us. Most of the alumni love to help as best we can. Remember, we were in your shoes once. Also, make sure you are prepared and ready to be available. Demonstrating a ridiculous work ethic is more valuable than an a high GPA especially being so new to the work force. Lastly, and this may not be a popular opinion, go where the jobs are. If you're an LA kid and there is a good opportunity in Nevada or Texas, go. You are not stuck there for the rest of your life. It could be a short term stop to get some much needed experience.
